Appointments and Questions:
We ask that you call during our regular business hours. Please do not leave a message after hours.
Emergency After Hours:
Call our office at (719) 686-0032. You will then be asked to leave a message for Dr. Schroeder. For emergencies, please leave your phone number so we can return your phone call. Please note that this forwards to our on-call pager and will take approximately 15-30 minutes for us to return your call.
Remember: if you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
Prescription Refills:
Please call your pharmacy 72 hours before your prescription runs out. All medications are reviewed and approved by Dr. Schroeder. If you are requesting a written prescription to be picked up, please give us 72 hours and then we will call you when it is ready to be picked up.
Questions For Dr. Schroeder or a Nurse:
Do not expect an immediate call back. All questions are addressed and we will return your call by the end of the day. Phone calls after 4pm will not be addressed until the next business day.
Our Referral Policy:
If your insurance requires you to have a referral to see any other physician or have any testing done, it is your responsibility to make sure this is done prior to the scheduled visit. Unless it is an emergency, it will take 5 working days to obtain a referral. It is important that you contact us during regular office hours as soon as you know you will need a referral. Patients who continue to ask for referrals after the fact or same day will be asked to find another office that will accommodate their needs.
Insurance Forms, Disability Forms, Letters, etc. (7 Business Days)
If you are requesting any form to be filled out or any letter to be generated, it will take a minimum of 7 working days. There is a possibility that it may take longer depending on the detail and chart review it requires. Please do not walk in and expect paperwork to be taken care of as you wait.
Lab Draws and Injections
We have lab services offered by LABCORP available in our office on Monday and Thursday 7:30-12:00, We do this on a first come, first serve basis. Therefore, you may have a slight wait.
If we are working you in
Please understand that there may be a wait. We do our best to see you without causing disruption to the patients who have had scheduled appointments.
Late Policy
If you are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment or asked to wait to be worked in at a later time.
No Notice Fees
If you schedule an appointment and do not call us 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will charge a no notice fee. This fee can range anywhere from $25.00 to $100.00 depending on the length of visit scheduled. Please be sure to call us as soon as you know you will not be able to make it so we can get other patients in who need to be seen as well. After having 3 no notice fees, we will ask you to find another physician.
